My Informal Tours offer cultural and culinary delights, including many inspiring gardens.
The aim is to provide small group tours with a maximum 15 and minimum of 10 people.
These are popular and stylish boutique tours and we don’t class ourselves as ‘Tourists’. I want everyone to feel part of a group and yet still have their own privacy. Where possible I try to choose small family, distinctive and conveniently located hotels and as from 2023 the french and Italian tour includes a week in a luxury Villa, complete with chef and the advantage of providing quiet times, swimming pool and lovely relaxed evenings. Breakfast is always included and I provide a lunch or dinner with wine every day. Dining experiences range from a simple local delicacy to fine dining. All representing the food of their region, many are in gorgeous fabulous settings – islands, cute small villages, high up mountains, beside stunning lakes to edgy city restaurants.
Tours encompass of a mix of gardens visit’s and historical sites, providing an insider’s knowledge with the help of local guides. There is time for a little shopping and a chance to absorb each region in your own time and encompass the best major attractions.
Travel is in a comfortable 28 seater coach with charming drivers who help with anything. They are irreplaceable and become an integral part of each tour.
We do not depart early in the mornings nor do you have to have your bags out by 6am on travel days. Usually stopovers are 2-3-4 nights so you can become familiar with your surroundings and unpack. Hotel owners and restaurateurs have become long-time friends and they look forward so much to another group of New Zealanders.
The tours are inclusive as per itinerary. You are not asked to pay for anything extra.
International flights are not included in the tour price because many people either travel before or after the tour and it is easier for everyone to make their own bookings. I prefer to fly Emirates only because they fly direct to most of my destinations.

It’s hard for me to describe myself so I have left it to couple of tour comments. I want everyone to have a fabulous time. This tour is about you and my job is to work hard to make sure you have many wonderful memories.
Judith your organisation and energy levels are amazing. Every detail is planned to perfection with a perfect mix of planned and free time… As we reflect on the wonderful memories of our trip we thank you the tour was perfection
Judith’s tours are unique in that she is personally involved in every stage of planning and execution. I’ve always found her groups to be friendly, inclusive and cohesive. The included meals and accompanying wines are always extremely generous, reflecting Judith’s gift for hospitality. She goes out of the way to ensure a good time is had, whilst showing and educating her groups (including through the use of local guides) about the history, customs and cuisine of the surrounding countryside. I cannot recommend her tours highly enough – as value for money and good entertainment
