My passion for Italy’s food, countryside, culture and history began with a family holiday in this fantastic country over a decade ago. With three young children in the car, my husband Philip and I drove over much of Italy. We stayed in a range of accommodation from modest hotels to gorgeous farm houses, pulling up wherever we felt like it, buying and tasting the local foods and introducing our children to Italy’s unique lifestyle.
It’s a love affair that is still going on!

My Italian tours offer a comprehensive insight into this amazing country. and whilst we focus on the food of the region we are in, at the same time we are investigating marvellous hill top villages, learning about village life and culture, understanding what “Italian lifestyle” really means, learning about splendid renaissance art and architecture, delving into the layers of history, ancient and more recent, and finding glorious out of the way corners of a country truly blessed with everything the traveller seeks.
All this whilst we sip and sup our way across the country, savouring a truly magnificent cuisine in every region, sometimes at a family trattoria, sometimes as a splendid restaurant, but just as delicious, shopping for local ingredients and picnicking on the hotel terrace or in the vineyard!
I provide you with notes about the food of the region we are visiting, suggesting dishes you might find on a menu and introducing you to Italian products which you may have used, but never fully understood, and to a host of new products and ideas of how to use them. We really do travel the Strada del Gusto – the road of good taste!
I look forward to you joining me on one of my tours soon. You can telephone, email or fax me anytime for more information – and don’t forget to click on the tours to be able to read the full itinerararies.
